"Lucky for some" selected for international outdoor sculpture exhibition
Sculpture by the Sea appears on the shores of Bondi, Cottesloe and Denmark and is a major event on Australia's cultural calendar. At the time of exhibition (2013), the refugee crisis was a major news issue in the country and we developed a concept designed to spark discussion and make people think about where they stand on the topic.
Artist statement:
"Thousands of asylum seekers flock to our shores each year, but has the country renowned for supporting multiculturalism and the underdog finally reached its limit?"
We have no idea where the artwork is today, a member of the exhibition staff asked if they could have it for free and we said yes.
